BluSky Trading rules
Rule explorer
One-time purchase, two phases: an evaluation with no consistency rule and no daily loss limit, then a Sim Funded account at the full account size. No buffer stage, no activation fee; evaluation expires 30 days after purchase.
Evaluation
passing the test- Profit target
- $3,000
- Max drawdown
- $2,000 trailing, measured on end-of-day balance
- Daily loss limit
- None
- Consistency rule
- None in the evaluation
- Minimum trading days
- No minimum stated (the Evaluation Overview says you can pass in as little as one day)
- Max contracts
- 5 minis / 50 micros
- Also know
- One-time purchase; the evaluation expires 30 days after purchase and a reset does NOT extend that window. Evaluation reset $129. No launch/activation fee.
Funded
after you pass- Activation fee
- None
- Max drawdown
- $2,000; the floor trails your closed end-of-day profit dollar-for-dollar (not intraday) until it locks
- When the drawdown stops trailing
- Once your lifetime net profit equals $2,000 (the starting drawdown), the floor locks permanently at the $50K starting balance and stops moving, so the account can never fail below breakeven.
- Daily loss limit
- None (Risk Team may impose one)
- Consistency rule
- 40%: your best profitable day must be no more than 40% of the sum of your profitable days; checked only when you request a payout; resets after each approved payout
- Max contracts / scaling
- 2 minis / 20 micros (scaling increases by Support request)
- Also know
- Sim Funded starts at the full $50K balance. Sim Funded reset $599 (max 2, only before any payout). Stop for the day at +$5,000 and for the week at +$10,000. Max 3 funded accounts at once.
Payouts
getting paid- Days needed before a payout
- No set number of trading days; you need at least $500 of new trading profit (a meaningful profitable day) between requests
- How often
- Every three trading days per the Orbit Plans article and comparison page (an older Aug 12, 2026 Orbit V2 payout article says requests can be made daily)
- Profit split
- 90% to you / 10% to BluSky
- Minimum payout
- $500
- Maximum payout
- $2,000 in any rolling 7-day window (each approved payout frees up exactly 7 days after approval)
- Buffer / safety net
- Payouts only unlock once the balance is above $52,000; only the amount above that is withdrawable
- Also know
- Requests before 11 AM ET processed same day. Before passing $10,000 total profit, open a brokerage review ticket.
Heads up: recent changes and conflicting pages 9
- Rule change effective Oct 1, 2026: new Sim Funded -> live transitions are 'Go Live' ($0 live start, profits to Bonus Vault) or 'Buyout' (50% of drawdown in cash). Before that, transfers were up to $10,000 minus payouts per account (max $30,000 over 3 accounts).
- Plan prices on blusky.pro are loaded dynamically and could only be confirmed for the 50K sizes (Launch $59/30 days list, Propel $160/30 days list, Orbit $199 one-time or 3 for $399.99, Instant Sim Funded $599, Direct to Funded $749) from the official comparison page (prices as of 10/5/2026). The homepage also showed '$100,000: $497 / 30 Days +99 at Launch' without naming the plan; it was not used. Check blusky.pro/#pricing-tables for other sizes.
- Orbit payout frequency conflict: the Orbit Plans article (updated mid-Oct 2026) and comparison page say every three trading days; the Orbit V2 payout article (Aug 12, 2026) says daily requests. Treat 'every 3 trading days' as current.
- The Evaluation Overview (Jul 31, 2026) describes Orbit with a Buffer phase at 50% consistency; the newer Orbit Plans article describes only two phases (evaluation, then Sim Funded).
- Funded contract limits for Launch/Propel differ between the newer Sim Funded Rules (Oct 2026: by balance, e.g. $3,000 = 3 minis/30 micros) and the older BluLive article (Aug 2026: e.g. Premium 50K = 5 minis/50 micros). The limit displayed on your account is what counts.
- Propel evaluation reset price conflict: Propel article says $79 for every size; Resets article lists $79/$89/$99/$109/$149/$199 for 25K-300K.
- Sim Funded Payouts article lists minimum balances of $26,500 (25K), $53,000 (50K), $103,500 (100K) - i.e. account size plus the Buffer amount - matching the rule that the Buffer is not withdrawable.
- Older Static Growth plan article (Feb 2026) describes a 30% consistency rule and a $2,500 daily loss limit on the 300K; it appears superseded by the Propel plan article and was not used for current numbers.
- No official page explicitly addresses holding positions over the weekend; BluSky recommends being flat by 4:45 PM ET daily and does not adjust losses on positions held past 5 PM ET.

Rules for every BluSky Trading account
Trading hours, news, banned strategies, account limits, fees and more.
- Platforms and data feeds
Three routes: Volumetrica (VolSys/DeepChart, VolBook/DeepDOM; brokerage partner Sweet Futures), Rithmic (NinjaTrader, Tradesea, R|Trader Pro, MotiveWave, Quantower, Jigsaw, ATAS, Sierra Chart, Bookmap and most other Rithmic platforms; partner Sweet Futures) and Tradovate (Tradovate Prop, NinjaTrader Prop, TradingView, Jigsaw, Bookmap). NinjaTrader on the Rithmic feed is allowed only in Evaluation, BluLive/Buffer and Sim Funded, not in live brokerage. The homepage also lists Tickblaze, Tradesea and BlackArrow as platform choices at checkout.
source · help.blusky.pro - Products and commissions
CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX futures (e.g. NQ/MNQ, ES/MES, YM/MYM, RTY/M2K, CL/MCL, NG, GC/MGC, SI/SIL, HG/MHG, 6E, ZN). EUREX only on Tradovate/NinjaTrader with Level 2 data. Evaluation commissions on Rithmic/Volumetrica and Tradesea are $2.00 per side per mini and $0.50 per side per micro; funded commissions are set by the brokerage. Tradovate/NinjaTrader Level 1 data is included free. Availability can vary by platform and account type.
source · help.blusky.pro - Trading hours and when to be flat
BluSky's trading day and end-of-day drawdown roll at 6:00 PM ET. BluSky recommends closing all trades before 4:45 PM ET; its system tries to auto-liquidate about 15 minutes before the close but this is not guaranteed, and accounts still holding positions after 5:00 PM ET will not be adjusted (any loss stands). No official page found that explicitly permits or forbids holding over the weekend.
source · help.blusky.pro - News trading
Allowed, at your own risk. Note Tradovate may raise margin (cut contract size) around news events in funded accounts.
source · help.blusky.pro - Exceeding contract size
Going over your max contracts does not by itself fail an evaluation (the system may cap size automatically), but deliberately exploiting it can lead to liquidation, an account restart and/or denial of brokerage. In Sim Funded, trading over limits can lead to P&L adjustments or forced liquidation.
source · help.blusky.pro - Hedging (prohibited)
You may not hold opposite positions across different accounts - same instrument (long GC in one, short GC in another) or correlated ones (long ES in one, short NQ in another). Applies to all your accounts, accounts in your household, and even accounts at other prop firms; reducing risk is not an excuse. Opposite positions inside ONE account are allowed. Penalties: warning and account closure on a first offence, forfeit of Buffer/Sim Funded account and payouts, permanent ban for repeat offences. BluSky also treats cross-account opposing positions as wash trades under CME rules.
source · help.blusky.pro - Prohibited conduct
Banned: exploiting glitches, pricing errors or latency; spoofing/manipulation; trading outside best bid/offer; using external or delayed data feeds for an edge; coordinated manipulation across accounts or with automated tools (AI, ultra-high-speed or bulk order entry); 'account mirroring' (copying another trader's or signal provider's trades); holding positions when a product is within 2% of its lock limit; account cycling (blowing accounts at max loss and repeating on new ones); deliberately blowing a live account; repeatedly buying evals/resets without real progress; trading for third parties. Penalties range from warnings and deleted trading days to forced resets, account termination and delayed/denied payouts. HFT, bots and VPNs are not named specifically.
source · help.blusky.pro - Copy trading and number of accounts
Unlimited evaluation accounts (any mix of Launch, Propel, Orbit). Maximum 3 funded accounts at once across Sim Funded, Instant Sim Funded and Direct to Funded. Maximum 2 Live Brokerage accounts, and while you hold a live account you cannot trade Sim Funded. A trade copier is allowed on all account types (copying your own accounts). One user per person/email; multiple emails to get around limits is banned.
source · help.blusky.pro - Households
People in the same household must each control their own accounts and trade from different computers; hedging rules cover the whole household.
source · help.blusky.pro - Inactivity
An account inactive for 30 consecutive days may be closed at BluSky's discretion.
source · help.blusky.pro - Eligibility, KYC and countries
Must be 18+. Funded/brokerage setup requires broker KYC/AML: government ID plus proof of address (bank statement or utility bill). Citizens and residents of a long list of countries cannot be served (incl. e.g. Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, Turkey, Russia, Iran, Morocco, Romania, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Panama, Jamaica, Venezuela). Failing KYC or a brokerage rejection means the funded account is not opened, no refund, and the BluSky account is terminated.
source · help.blusky.pro - Billing and subscriptions
Launch and Propel evaluations are 30-day subscriptions that auto-renew (even if the account has failed) until you pass or cancel; billing stops when you pass. Renewals are at the price originally paid, including any discount. Orbit, Instant Sim Funded, Direct to Funded are one-time purchases. Cancel at least 1 day before renewal in the dashboard billing section.
source · help.blusky.pro - Refunds
Official pages conflict. The Refund Policy (updated Feb 1, 2026) says no refunds for website purchases, renewals, resets, tech problems or buying the wrong plan. The Terms of Use say refunds may be considered within 48 hours with written justification, minus a 50% processing fee; the Terms and Conditions say within 24 hours, minus 15%. Treat purchases as non-refundable.
source · help.blusky.pro - Activation / launch fees
Only Launch plans (one-time $99 for 50K, $149 for 100K, $179 for 200K) and Stock plans charge a fee after passing; it must be paid within 14 days or the passed evaluation is forfeited permanently. Propel, Orbit, Instant Sim Funded and Direct to Funded have no activation/launch fee.
source · help.blusky.pro - Evaluation resets
A reset gives a fresh evaluation (balance, days and rules cleared). It does not change the subscription renewal date, and for Orbit does not extend the 30-day expiry. If a Launch/Propel subscription renews while the account is failed, the reset is free (applied within about an hour). Prices: Launch $49/$59/$69 (50K/100K/200K); Propel $79-$199 by size per the Resets article; Orbit $129/$199/$279/$279 (50K/100K/150K/200K).
source · help.blusky.pro - Buffer Zone (BluLive) resets
For Launch and Propel: failed Buffer accounts can be reset unlimited times: $250 each for resets 1-3, $300 for 4-6, $350 for 7-9, $400 for 10-12 and so on. If the Buffer was already passed into Sim Funded, each reset is $500. Your passed evaluation stays intact.
source · help.blusky.pro - Sim Funded resets
A blown Sim Funded account can be reset up to 2 times, only if no payout has ever been taken from it; the account restarts at half its starting balance. Prices: Launch/Propel 25K $750, 50K $1,500, 100K $1,750, 150K $1,000, 200K $1,500, 300K $1,750; Orbit 50K $599, 100K $799, 150K $999, 200K $1,199.
source · help.blusky.pro - Consistency rule (how it is measured)
Your single best profitable day divided by the total of your profitable days (losing days are left out) must be at or under the plan's limit. Being over the limit does NOT fail the account; it just blocks passing a phase or taking a payout until more profitable days bring the percentage down. Limits: Launch eval 50%; Launch/Propel Buffer 34% (21% on 300K); Propel eval 34% (21% on 300K); Orbit eval none; Orbit Sim Funded 40%; Instant/Direct 21%.
source · help.blusky.pro - Daily loss limit
No daily loss limit in Launch, Propel or Orbit evaluations, Buffer or Sim Funded (Instant Sim Funded and Direct to Funded do have one). The Risk Team may impose one, and on Volumetrica you can set your own.
source · help.blusky.pro - Sim Funded profit stops
In Sim Funded, stop trading for the day once you are up $5,000 that day, and for the week once up $10,000 that week (hitting the weekly level may trigger a review).
source · help.blusky.pro - Payout mechanics (all funded accounts)
Requested from the dashboard (no ticket). $500 minimum, whole dollars. Requests before 11:00 AM ET on a trading day are processed same day, later ones next business day; money arrives in 1-3 business days via Gusto or Rise. No minimum number of trading days, but you need at least $500 of new trading profit (one meaningful profitable day) between requests; flipping contracts to qualify does not count. Stop trading after requesting until funds are removed. Must claim within 30 days or the payout is forfeited. Split is 90% trader / 10% BluSky unless changed by a Risk Team review (Instant/Direct differ). US traders get a 1099; non-US must file a W-8BEN.
source · help.blusky.pro - Brokerage review and $10K cap
Open a Support review ticket before an account passes $10,000 total profit (current profit + payouts received). Reviews take up to 5-7 trading days; you cannot trade Sim Funded/brokerage or get payouts during a review, and trading an account under review can lose it. Risk reviews can happen at any time and can change your profit split or close accounts. Blowing 3+ funded/live accounts may limit you to 1 active account.
source · help.blusky.pro - Live brokerage transition (since Oct 1, 2026)
After review you choose: Go Live (live account starts at $0 with a drawdown based on your account size; eligible Sim Funded profits go to a 'Bonus Vault', which pays $1,000 per $10,000 of live payouts per the comparison page) or Buyout (one-time cash payment of 50% of your drawdown, e.g. $1,000 on a $2,000-drawdown 50K, then a cooldown before buying evaluations again). Older live accounts keep the previous structure. Orbit brokerage accounts start with a $100 baseline and must never drop below $100 after a payout request or they close automatically.
source · help.blusky.pro - Funded contract scaling
Funded contract limits are smaller than evaluation limits and are what the account displays. Reference by Sim Funded balance: $3,500 = 3 minis/35 micros, $3,000 = 3/30, $2,000 = 2/20, $1,500 = 1/15. Increases are by Support request after consistent growth. Tradovate scales with available margin; Rithmic and Volumetrica do not scale automatically.
